Art-A-Day
June 3rd - 25th, 2022
Application Information
Columbia Center for the Arts is excited to present Art-a-Day, a group show featuring works completed on a daily basis for a full month!

Art-a-Day is an annual exhibition that challenges artists to create one piece of art a day for the duration of a month. Each artist presents their series together allowing viewers to see the development over a 30-day practice. Artists are asked to keep a journal chronicling their experience of creating these pieces and their evolution over the 30days.

Eligibility
The show is open to all mid-Columbia residents who live at least three months annually in one of the following Columbia Gorge counties: Klickitat, Hood River, Wasco, Multnomah, Sherman or Skamania county. Exceptions apply so please ask!

How to Apply: First, submit this form (Part 1). Upon submission, you will receive an email from Rachael Erickson, CCA Gallery Manager, with instructions for Part 2, which will include how to submit your images and other required information. (Please check your Spam folder).

Submissions are being accepted now through March 22nd.

Since we hope to display work from many artists, space will be at a premium and size restrictions (see below) for submitted pieces must be met.

Purchasers may take their pieces at the end of the show, unless you specify that the work is not for sale.

Contracts & Payment to Artists: Artists accepted into the show will be asked to sign a Columbia Center for the Arts exhibition contract. The commission sales split is 60% revenue to the artist and 40% revenue to Columbia Center for the Arts. Payments to artists will occur by the 20th of the month following the exhibition.

Size Restrictions:
For 2-D works, the size must be less than 24” on the longest side. For 3-D works, the size must be no larger than about 8 cu. ft., (i.e., a box about 2’ x 2’ x 2’, depending on the work’s overall shape).

Questions about the
appropriateness of your pieces and/or their prices or the size restrictions? Please contact the Gallery Manager, at gallery@columbiaarts.org.
